Quilt Like Crazy Newsletter #2 - And it's ON!

Hello, Happy Quilters!
Wow! Sorry this newsletter is out late this week but I have been so busy getting ready for the next week that I got a little behind. This week has been cold, then warm, cold, then warm. It doesn't matter how cold (OR warm) it is, I still want to cuddle up with a quilt that's nearby. It's supposed to be approaching wintertime, but as the saying goes in Texas, just wait five minutes and the weather will change. So while we're waiting the five minutes for the weather to change, we're gonna whip up some quilty FUN! Next week we are hoping to get our Mug Coasters and Mug Rug videos up! It's gonna be a crazy week, but OH so GOOD!
What's Coming Up??
In addition to our new online classes starting next month, we will be starting our first BOM (Block of the Month) program for beginners. This will be a Beginner Mystery Block of the Month with a quilt project that is a wallhanging sized quilt approximately 27 1/2" x 31 1/2", perfect for beginners who want to build their skills block by block. The fabric is all in and our kits are all put together. The finishing kits will be available for purchase after the 11th month which will include borders, binding and a choice of backing fabric. It's all VERY exciting. I'm sorry I can't show you a picture of the finished quilt because it is a MYSTERY quilt! Sign up now if you are an absolute beginner or if you just need a bit of a refresher. This is the program for you! But sign up soon because our seats are limited and it starts January 1st, 2020. If you want to know more about our Block of the Month program, the guidelines can be found on our website here. Other new and shorter Blocks of the Month programs, will be unveiled throughout the coming new year and not all will be just for beginners, so keep watching!FEATURED QUILTS - YOURS!
We are looking to feature YOUR current projects on the front page of our website. If you would like your quilt featured, send a picture with your name, city, state and a brief summary of your project to us at info@sewcharmingquilts.com.

Inspirational Joke of the Week: I don't rip out stitches... I re-live seams from the past! Hahaha!
Quilty Tip of the Week:
When starting to sew, I always put a leader strip (a small square or rectangle piece of fabric) under my needle to start and end my sewing. It helps to prevent first stitch tangles if I forget to hold the threads and it wastes less thread.
Weekly Q & A:
Q: What's the smallest amount of fabric I can purchase? -- Jean, Watauga, TX.
A: Technically, the smallest amount of fabric that can be purchased on our website are precuts called Fat Eighths, which is a fat portion of a fat quarter and not a traditional 1/8th of 1/4 yard. A Fat Eighth is a piece of fabric roughly 9" x 22". However, in traditional yardage, the smallest amount that can be purchased is a 1/2 yard.
Well, that's all for this week my quilty friends! Sign up for our newsletter on our site and get more fun stuff each week.
Have a quilty day!
All the best,
