This is the eighth of Robert Kaufman's Kona Cotton 2022 Calendar Quilts. August's quilt is called Luminescent and was designed by Ariga Wilson for Robert Kaufman.  The finished quilt measures approximately 50" x 60". This quilt features some great Kona cotton colors in an array of sunrise - sunshine colors, like Duckling, Bright Idea, Sunny and more. This product is a digital download.  Not up for digital download? Pattern Corrections:
Fabric Requirements:  Add 1/8 yd to each of Fabrics B, C, D, E, F, & G for a Total of 5/8 yd each.

Cutting Instructions:
From Fabric A: two 5-3/4" (not 5-1/4") x WOF strip. Subcut: fifteen 5-3/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
                         five 3-1/4" (not 2-7/8") x WOF strips. Subcut: sixty 3-1/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
From Fabrics B, D & F:
  one 5-3/4" (not 5-1/4") x WOF strip. Subcut: two 5-3/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
                                             one 3-1/4" (not 2-7/8") x WOF strip. Subcut: twelve 3-1/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
From Fabrics C, E & G:  one 5-3/4" (not 5-1/4") x WOF strip. Subcut: three 5-3/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
                                       one 3-1/4" (not 2-7/8") x WOF strip. Subcut: eight 3-1/4" squares and proceed with rest of cutting instructions per directions.
                                   

Under the Assemble the Flying Geese Instructions:
Step 1: Pin two 3-1/4” Fabric A squares in opposing corners of a 5-3/4” Fabric B square, RST. The squares will overlap slightly in the center of the large square. Using a ruler, draw a diagonal line through the squares.
Step 2: Place one 3-1/4” Fabric A square at the corner of sewn block unit. Draw a diagonal line in pencil. Sew a scant 1/4” seam on each side of diagonal line. Set seam (press). Cut along diagonal line, creating two identical units.
Step 4:  Place one 3-1/4" Fabric A square at the corner of sewn block unit. Draw diagonal line in pencil. Sew a scant 1/4" seam on each side of diagonal line. Set seam (press) Cut along diagonal line, creating two identical units.
Step 5:  Press the seam toward smaller triangle. Trim off small dog ears left by the seam allowance. Trim to 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" if necessary.  Repeat to make eight B/A flying geese blocks.
Step 6: Repeat with all remaining 3-1/4" Fabric A squares and 5-3/4" Fabric B-G squares to make the totals listed in the instructions.
Step 7: Repeat the process from steps 1-5, this time using the Fabric B-G 3-1/4" squares and the 5-3/4" Fabric A squares to make the total blocks listed in the instructions.
